Key Project Details
The training course Youth Work Digital took place from 7 to 17 July 2025 in Lacu Rosu, Romania, organised by Asociatia Cloud Five in collaboration with six international partners:
Asoc Sonríe a Europa (Spain)
VsI “uMunthu” (Lithuania)
Trailblazers (Slovakia)
Palavras Infinitas – Núcleo de Inclusão, Comunicação e Media (Portugal)
Arci Solidarietà Società Cooperativa Sociale (Italy)
Leave a Mark (Georgia).
The course brought together 29 youth workers, including project managers, facilitators, and volunteers, with equal representation from each partner country. Participants were actively involved in youth work within their communities and had the opportunity to strengthen their digital skills, exchange best practices, and build professional networks across Europe.

Objectives and Activities
During the main sessions, participants engaged in hands-on workshops and collaborative projects. They learned to use Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook for communication and project management, while platforms like Trello, Asana, Mentimeter, and Google Forms were introduced to facilitate interactive planning and engagement with youth. Creative tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, and Google Slides were used to design visually appealing content, presentations, and social media materials for youth projects.
A key activity was the co-creation of a webpage and video tutorials highlighting the most effective digital tools for youth work. These outputs provided practical guidance for participants and were designed to be shared with wider networks. The course concluded with reflection, evaluation, and planning for dissemination, allowing participants to assess their learning and determine how to implement their new skills in practice.
Why the Project Was Implemented
Youth work is rapidly changing in a digital world, yet many youth workers lacked the necessary skills to engage young people online effectively. This gap became especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many face-to-face youth activities had to move online.
Youth Work Digital was designed to address this need by providing youth workers with practical digital competencies. The course aimed to ensure that participants could confidently use collaborative platforms, content creation tools, and project management software, enabling them to deliver engaging, inclusive, and effective youth work activities.
Results and Impact
As part of our Training Course, participants explored a variety of digital tools and reflective methods designed to make their youth work more efficient and impactful.
From practical software skills to personal development techniques, they created a series of video tutorials showcasing what they found most useful. These short, hands-on tutorials cover Google Drive for collaborative file management, Microsoft Excel for organizing and analyzing data, Microsoft Word’s Mailings function for creating personalized documents, Microsoft Power Automate for streamlining repetitive tasks, and the Heart of Reflection method for fostering mindful and meaningful learning.
